Analysis on Ohio’s New Tax Law for Pass-Throughs

Clark Schaefer Hackett, an OMA Connections Partner, has published its analysis of Ohio’s recently passed Senate Bill 246, which will provide tax relief to small businesses that are structured as pass-through entities — such as S-corporations, partnerships, and LLCs.

According to the firm, SB 246 — which is effective for tax years beginning on or after Jan. 1, 2022 — “will let Ohio re-establish state and local tax parity so small and mid-size businesses can remain competitive in relation to other businesses throughout the country.” 7/6/2022
