Steve Dackin Is Ohio’s New State Superintendent

On May 10, the State Board of Education voted to select Steve Dackin, former vice president of the board, as the next state superintendent. “This is a win for manufacturers that need the K-12 education system to up its game to prepare Ohio’s next generation for the workforce,” said Ryan Augsburger, OMA president.

Mr. Dackin most recently served as Columbus State Community College’s superintendent of school and community partnerships. He succeeds former State Superintendent Paolo DeMaria, who retired last fall. 5/10/2022
