Ohio Lands Top-10 Spots in Key Business Rankings

Business Facilities magazine recently published its 18th annual rankings report — and the Buckeye State captured several top-10 spots, including in the following categories:

• No. 2 – automotive manufacturing strength;
• No. 6 – aerospace and defense;
• No. 8 – manufacturing jobs (percentage of workforce);
• No. 8 – best business climate;
• No. 9 – foreign direct investment (capital investment);
• No. 9 – solar power jobs;
• No. 10 – manufacturing output (percentage of GDP); and
• No. 10 – food processing.

In the publication’s metro rankings report, Toledo is No. 5 among the nation’s large manufacturing hubs, while Lima is third best among small manufacturing hubs. Both Columbus (No. 7) and Cincinnati (No. 10) made the magazine’s top-10 for best business climate. 8/8/2022
