OMA Supports Bill that Caps Contract Statute of Limitations

This week the OMA offered written proponent testimony for House Bill 694 which would set Ohio’s statute of limitations for written and oral contracts at three years. The bill is pending before the House Civil Justice Committee.

OMA wrote: “By enacting a three-year statute of limitations, Ohio would be increasing its business competitiveness. Enacting House Bill 694 helps Ohio improve its competitive advantage as compared to other states for businesses looking to locate in, or remain in, Ohio. It is another piece of the economic development puzzle.” 11/28/2018
