Update:  This week, Duke proposed to settle its electric distribution rate case via a stipulation, rather than litigating the case.  Accordingly, Duke proposes no annual increase, which is a decrease from its initial request of $86.6 million annually.  Many intervening parties have tentatively agreed to this proposal, but are still reviewing the details of the stipulation which includes non-monetary provisions.  The OMAEG has not actively participated in this case because we do not have members in Duke’s territory and the PUCO Staff report did not raise significant issues.  Therefore, the OMAEG will remain neutral by not opposing or supporting the stipulation, which also includes non-monetary provisions and conditions.  We will continue to monitor this case.
