Update: Some parties have requested to extend the procedural schedule so that the hearing occurs after the PUCO issues its decision on the rehearing proposals featured in FirstEnergy’s ESP IV. The parties assert that an extension is warranted because the PUCO’s resolution of the rehearing proposals will have a bearing on whether the PUCO should approve DP&L’s request to establish a Reliable Electricity Rider (RER). If approved, the RER would transfer revenues from DP&L to its unregulated affiliate to support a fleet of generating units that will soon be operated by the affiliate.
