Update: As you will recall, a settlement was reached with a majority of the parties in Duke’s energy efficiency and peak demand reduction case, a hearing was held, and briefing was completed in April, 2017. This week, several parties filed a letter with the PUCO requesting that the PUCO issue a decision on the approval of the settlement. The parties cite problems that are arising from the uncertainty caused by the PUCO’s delay in issuing an order and assert that Duke may have to suspend its energy efficiency programs if the uncertainty is not resolved and funding approved.
