Update: TimkenSteel recently filed an application with the Commission seeking approval of another reasonable arrangement with AEP Ohio. The discount off of AEP Ohio’s monthly tariff charge and delta revenue cap that TimkenSteel will receive are redacted in the application; however, counsel recently negotiated a protective agreement which permits some disclosure of the data underlying the application. AEP Ohio has moved to intervene in the case and states that it does not oppose the arrangement on the terms and conditions proposed in the application. OMA Energy Group intends to intervene and file comments in the case to ensure that any benefits accruing to customers, and the resultant discounted rates that are funded by other AEP Ohio ratepayers, are just and reasonable, and that the unique arrangement furthers the policy of the state of Ohio.
