Update:  On May 7, 2013, OMAEG Counsel participated in a PUCO workshop regarding its review of rules for reasonable arrangements, transmission cost recovery riders, and corporate separation.  As expected, FirstEnergy Solutions argued that they would like for customers to still be able to shop with respect to reasonable arrangements.  These rules are important to manufacturers because they involve riders that are included on electric bills in order to subsidize the electric bills of customers operating under reasonable arrangements, as well as riders for the purpose of a utility recovering transmission related costs.  Next, the PUCO will issue draft rules and provide interested parties with the opportunity to provide comments on those draft rules.  It will likely be several weeks before this occurs.  We will continue to monitor developments and provide updates accordingly.
