Update: The evidentiary hearing on the settlement reached between AEP, Staff, Sierra Club, OEG, and a few other parties has concluded. Parties are currently in the process of briefing the myriad of issues raised by the settlement. OMA Energy Group counsel intends to demonstrate, among other things, that the settlement violates important regulatory principles and practices, does not benefit ratepayers, and is not in the public interest. The final briefs are due February 8, 2016. AEP asked the Commission to approve the settlement by February 10, 2016; however, this does not appear realistic given the current briefing schedule.
