Update: AEP has asked the PUCO to disregard the brief filed by Noble Americas Energy Solutions (Noble), a power marketer and competitive retail electric service (CRES) provider. According to AEP, Noble waited too long before attempting to become a party to the case. Noble claims its late intervention is justified because it was unable to foresee that some CRES providers (i.e., IGS and Direct Energy) would cease their opposition to the PPA request and settlement so late in the proceedings.
