Activists seeking to legalize the recreational use of marijuana in Ohio can begin collecting more than 130,000 signatures needed to place the issue before the General Assembly. The Ballot Board — which controls what goes on the statewide ballot — this week approved the group’s proposal to regulate marijuana like alcohol. If the issue goes to the legislature and lawmakers fail to approve the plan, supporters have the option of collecting another 132,887 valid signatures to put the issue before Ohio voters. 8/30/2021
