Responsibility: Overall leader of OMA Workers’ Compensation Services

Juliet came to the OMA in 2018 with significant experience in the workers’ compensation industry. In addition to overall leadership of OMA Workers’ Compensation Services, Juliet manages her book of member accounts. She is an experienced claims examiner, helping employers lower premium costs and facilitate employees’ return to duty. She is well-versed in workers’ compensation premiums, rates, and programs. She thrives on helping employers put all the pieces of a claim together, ensuring an optimal outcome for all parties.

Responsibility: Account Manager, Workers’ Compensation Services

Karen came to the OMA team in 2017 with deep experience in workers’ compensation claims management. With more than 30 years in the field, Karen understands what it takes to control claim costs while providing exceptional customer service. Most recently, Karen was a senior claims specialist with an Ohio third party administrator. She also has expertise in managing claims for self-insured employers.

“I love being able to take the burden of workers’ compensation management off the shoulders of our members. I want our members to trust that I will go above and beyond for them every day.”

Responsibility: Connecting members with OMA services

Crissy joined the OMA team in 2018 with more than 25 years of experience in the workers’ compensation field. Her experience spans a wide variety of roles, including claims specialist, employers’ hearing representative and account executive working with clients in Ohio and around the country. She loves being able to figure out problems and create solutions for OMA members by recommending different programs and strategies of which they may not be aware.

Responsibility: Workers’ compensation account management

Melissa joined the OMA team in 2017 with experience as a workers’ compensation claims examiner and compensation analyst with a large Ohio workers’ compensation third party administrator. Her background is entirely in the employee benefits field. She has significant experience in managing claims for self-insured employers.

Lisa SchaafLisa B. Schaaf

Director, Marketing Services

Responsibility: Lead communications and safety services in support of OMA Workers’ Compensation Services.

Lisa Schaaf has served as COO and Marketing Services leader of the OMA since 1994. She has primary responsibility for managing safety learning events for OMA members. These services help members not only meet safety compliance requirements, but also learn best safety practices. Lisa also leads all communications that ensure OMA members get the workers’ compensation news and information they need in time to use it.
