OhioMeansJobs-Readiness Seal for Students

01/19/2018

Ohio high school students now can earn recognition by showing they are prepared to contribute to the workplace and their communities. The OhioMeansJobs-Readiness Seal is a formal designation students can earn on their high school diplomas and transcripts indicating they have the personal strengths, strong work ethic and professional experience that businesses need. According to the program, ways a company can show support for students who have earned or are pursuing the OhioMeansJobs-Readiness Seal include:

  • Guarantee interviews for students who have earned the Readiness Seal;
  • Encourage current high school interns/employees to earn the Readiness Seal; and
  • Encourage your employees to serve as mentors to students in your local school district. (Read more about what an OhioMeansJobs-Readiness Seal mentor does here.)
