Ohio Lawmakers Propose Legalizing Recreational Marijuana

This week, Reps. Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) and Terrence Upchurch (D-Cleveland) announced they will introduce legislation to legalize recreational marijuana cultivation — personal and commercial — and sales in Ohio. According to reports, the proposal will be modeled after Michigan’s marijuana market, and would allow people previously convicted of low-level marijuana crimes to have their records sealed. The OMA will share more details as they become available. 7/15/2021
