Study: EV Adoption to Fall Short of Biden’s 2030 Goal

The Biden administration’s goal to have 50% of all new U.S. vehicle sales be electric by 2030 may not be realistic, according to a U.S. Energy Information Administration study. The study finds that even by 2050, EVs will account for between 13% and 29% of new light-duty vehicle sales. Of course, variables such as government policies, raw materials, and new technology could significantly impact EV sales. 5/16/2023
