DOL Plans ‘Vigorous’ Enforcement of Wage and Hour Protections

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) recently announced a new initiative to “vigorously” enforce the wage and hour protections of warehouse and logistics workers.

According to HR Dive, the initiative will focus on ensuring employees “are paid their legally owed minimum and overtime wages, are safe from harassment and retaliation, and are provided proper time off as enshrined in the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). It also will target misclassification of employees as independent contractors.” 2/16/2022
