Another Record for Number of Americans Quitting Job

Americans set a second straight record for quitting jobs in September, pushing the rate to 3% (or 4.4 million workers). According to data reported by The Wall Street Journal (subscription), lower-wage workers, workers of color, and women middle managers were most likely to leave or change roles.

Meanwhile, HR Dive reports that as COVID-19 vaccine mandates loom, some smaller employers are trying to attract new talent by touting that their workplaces don’t require vaccination. 11/18/2021
