PUCO Terminates DP&L Modernization Rider

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio late last week nixed Dayton Power & Light’s (DP&L) proposed distribution modernization rider, citing a recent Ohio Supreme Court ruling that struck down a similar rider. In August, the court rejected FirstEnergy’s appeal to reconsider the legality of its distribution modernization rider. The OMA Energy Group led the legal challenge to remove the FirstEnergy rider.

By blocking the DP&L charge, Ohio ratepayers are expected to save $315 million over three years, according to reports. 11/25/2019
