Update: On July 8, 2015, the Commission granted the applications for rehearing filed by Duke and Ohio Partners for Affordable Energy in order to provide itself with additional time to consider the arguments advanced therein. The Commission also denied the Environmental Advocates’ motion for leave to file an application for rehearing in the proceeding, noting that the Environmental Advocates had not previously been parties to the proceeding and that their alleged failure to predict the scope of the proceeding did not form a proper basis for their failure to intervene.
