Update: AEP Ohio filed an application in 2011 to establish a charge for customers who had returned to AEP Ohio’s market rate offer after being served by a CRES provider and had elected to avoid paying the applicable provider-of-last-resort (POLR) charge. In a subsequent separate proceeding, AEP Ohio’s POLR charge was terminated. On November 1, 2013, AEP Ohio filed a letter with the Commission requesting to withdraw its application because the application is now moot. The Commission granted the request on December 4, 2013, dismissed the case, and closed the proceeding of record.
