On April 29, Lorain County Community College — an OMA partner and co-lead of the Ohio Manufacturing Workforce Partnership — hosted U.S. Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh. During his Ohio visit, the secretary discussed the importance of the Bipartisan Innovation Act, which would merge the U.S. House-passed “America COMPETES Act” with the Senate-passed “United States Innovation and Competition Act.” Walsh also spoke with high school participants in the FlexFactor program, and he took part in a panel discussion on workforce development with representatives from the U.S. Department of Defense, Boeing, and others. 5/2/2022
