The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association (OMA) Safety & Workers’ Compensation Committee will meet Thursday, Sept. 17, with an agenda focused on enforcement, workers’ compensation and key policy issues affecting Ohio workplaces.
Invited guests include Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) Administrator Stephanie McCloud and OSHA’s Ohio area directors, who will provide insight into agency priorities, enforcement trends and workplace safety issues.
“Between OSHA enforcement, BWC developments and activity at the Statehouse, there is a lot moving right now that employers need to have on their radar,” said Jacob Sargent, director of public policy services for the OMA. “This meeting gives members a chance to hear directly from the people shaping those decisions and ask the questions that matter to their operations.”
OMA counsel will review important legal issues, while Juliet Walker, managing director of workers’ compensation services for the OMA, will discuss current trends and activity in the workers’ compensation system. OMA staff will also provide the latest from the Statehouse.
The business meeting runs from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a networking lunch. Members may attend in person at OMA offices or virtually via Zoom. 9/4/2026
