Currently, Ohio’s labor force participation only slightly trails the U.S. average. But the Buckeye State lagged most other Midwestern states in the employment-to-population ratio last year, according to new federal data. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statics reports that 58.4% of Ohio’s population was employed in 2021.
