NBC4 this week highlighted the business impact of Ohio reaching statewide air quality attainment for the first time in more than 20 years.

James Lee, managing director of public policy services for the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association, explained that nonattainment designations can bring additional permitting requirements, tighter emissions limits and higher costs for businesses looking to expand.

With all 88 counties now meeting federal air quality standards, businesses across Ohio have a clearer, less costly path to invest and expand.
