The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association (OMA) continued its regional rollout of the JobsOhio Technician Path this week, holding launch academies in central and east Ohio. As Statewide Concierge Lead, OMA is working to equip regional Concierge Service Providers (CSPs) with shared resources, training, and service standards to help manufacturers navigate technician talent development opportunities through a coordinated statewide framework.
The sessions brought together regional workforce partners and manufacturers to strengthen alignment around employer needs and available technician training pathways. Employer champion lunches provided an opportunity for manufacturers to engage directly in the conversation, with participating companies including THK Manufacturing of America, Inc., Worthington Steel, Vallourec, Xaloy, and many others.
In central Ohio, the Greater Ohio Workforce Board serves as the regional CSP, while the Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition, an OMA-Endorsed Industry Sector Partnership, serves as the CSP in East Ohio. These regional partners will help manufacturers navigate earn-and-learn pathways, connect with training providers, and explore Registered Apprenticeship opportunities that support technician talent development.
As OMA continues advancing the statewide Concierge network, manufacturers interested in learning more about JobsOhio Technician Path are encouraged to connect with their regional CSP to explore available resources and next steps. 10/15/2026
