Fall hazards aren’t limited to construction sites. Ladders, platforms and elevated work areas can pose serious risks in manufacturing facilities. The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association (OMA) will host a webinar Thursday, Oct. 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. to help employers recognize those hazards, strengthen fall prevention efforts and stay current on safety requirements.

Safex Senior Safety Consultant Brian Basbagill, a Certified Safety Professional with more than 25 years of experience, will lead the session. He’ll share practical approaches to fall protection, including ladder safety, engineered solutions and steps employers can take to prepare for evolving safety expectations.

“When employees work around the same equipment every day, it can be easy to overlook the risks that come with working at elevations,” said Jacob Sargent, director of public policy services for the OMA. “We want employers to come away from this webinar with practical ideas they can use to identify hazards, prevent falls and keep their people safe.”
