In addition to overseeing economic development in Fairfield County, this department acts as the Administrate Agent for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Area 20, encompassing Pickaway, Ross, Vinton, Hocking, and Fairfield Counties. This WIOA board is tackling workforce issues across the region and is currently exploring a service to handle all paperwork requirements for registered apprenticeship from the State of Ohio. The department also offers the Fairfield County Workforce Development Training Grant designed to help attract and retain county jobs.
