The Portage County Manufacturer Coalition (PCMC) was formed by regional manufacturers to share ideas and resources to promote development of a skilled workforce; to identify the skills needed by current employees and the future workforce; to engage local educators – on the elementary, secondary, and college levels – to develop and strengthen curricula that will meet the needs identified by the PCMC; and to identify and build awareness of manufacturers in Portage County and the career pathways to enter and succeed in skilled, high-wage occupations.
