Barbara J. Bender

Lead Account Manager, Workers’ Compensation Services

Responsibility: Workers’ compensation account management

Barbara Bender brings more than 35 years of experience in the workers’ compensation industry. In her experience with several Ohio TPAs, she executed claims management for both state fund and self-insured employers, rating analysis and account management. She managed  self- insured claims for employer operations in three states, and led self-insured reporting operations. Barb joined the OMA staff in 2003. Her passion is to leave no stone unturned when it comes to investigating and managing claims for her customers.

“I enjoy educating employers about claim management strategies. Working with OMA member companies, there is more than a business relationship that develops; often, it’s also a friendship.”


Georgia L. BoothGeorgia L. Booth

Account Manager, Workers’ Compensation Services

Responsibility: Workers’ compensation account management

Georgia Booth has extensive experience in delivering workers’ compensation services; she has worked in the industry for more than 30 years. Her responsibilities have included third party administration (TPA) management, hearing representation, and developing claims management strategies for both state fund and self-insured employers. Her experience comes from her roles within several Ohio TPAs, including assistant manager of the self-insured department at a large TPA, before joining the OMA staff in 2003.

Lisa Cummings-DyeLisa Cummings-Dye

Director, Project Services

Responsibility: Member services and customer relations.

Lisa Cummings-Dye joined the OMA team in 2013 to support the association’s administrative operations. She was soon asked to also take on day-to-day contact with OMA’s workers’ compensation members to ensure they are getting the most from their OMA memberships. Lisa connects members  to OMA services they value, answers questions, and solves problems. Her naturally positive attitude and friendly way makes her an outstanding leader in member service. She might be calling you one day soon!

Brian JacksonBrian Jackson

Managing Director, Workers’ Compensation Services

Responsibility: Manages program and premium analysis and rating services.

Brian Jackson joined the OMA staff in 2015 from the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) where he was a Business Consultant, responsible for helping employers solve problems and choose programs and services. Prior to that, Brian was a BWC Actuarial Analyst specializing in applying statistical data to create real world solutions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from The Ohio State University. At the OMA Brian leads the analysis and rating services that ensure OMA members receive valuable premium discounts and high-quality program consulting. He is knowledgeable about BWC operations and requirements, and an asset for OMA members.

“I really like dissecting problems and looking for ways to help employers save money and solve management issues. I’m happy to put my BWC experience directly to work on behalf of OMA members.”

Managing Director, Marketing Services

Responsibility: Lead communications and safety services in support of OMA Workers’ Compensation Services.

Lisa Schaaf has served as COO and Marketing Services leader of the OMA since 1994. She has primary responsibility for managing safety learning events for OMA members. These services help members not only meet safety compliance requirements, but also learn best safety practices. Lisa also leads all communications that ensure OMA members get the workers’ compensation news and information they need in time to use it.

Jeremy S. SescoJeremy S. Sesco

Responsibility: Member services and customer relations

Jeremy Sesco joined the OMA team in 2015 as a leader in member services and is no stranger to workers’ compensation in Ohio. The majority of Jeremy’s professional career has been helping business managers purchase appropriate insurance products, including workers’ compensation services. Jeremy’s interest in helping members solve problems and maximize value has earned him an important role as a primary contact for members.

“Navigating Ohio’s workers’ comp system is no easy task! I enjoy helping employers understand their options so they have confidence they’re doing what is best for their companies. I get lots of satisfaction from educating and helping employers.”
