Last month, a Manufacturing Innovation Summit hosted by EWI and The Manufacturing Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers, was held in Columbus to advance the creation of a national innovation strategy for U.S. manufacturing competitiveness.  Attendees included industry executives from 23 American manufacturing companies.   

Citing other countries’ innovation infrastructures, EWI Chief Technology Officer Chris Conrardy said, ”America needs an innovation infrastructure to mature and transition advanced manufacturing technologies from the laboratory to the shop floor.”
