The Ohio House heard testimony on three mandates this week, HB 451 (Letson) mandating colorectal exams, HB 237 (Newcomb) regarding cancer medications, and HB 310 (Garland, Driehaus), mandating prostheses coverage. The OMA has issued letters of opposition on all of the House's mandate proposals. In response to opposition testimony to HB 451, Rep. Carney stated that unwavering positions start to ring hollow after a while. The OMA believes that a bad idea is a bad idea no matter how many times or ways its proposed.
